Does Anyone Else Like "The Big Bang Theory?" (U.S. Sitcom)

I don't watch a lot of TV besides BBC News 24 and CBEEBIES (Which I find very relaxing and a marvellous antidote to bleak, depressing news stories). I'm not one of those people who buys a lot of box sets. The only box sets I have (apart from old TV series like Columbo) are of "The Big Bang Theory".

Does anyone else on ABCtales like TBBT?

Since I accidentally caught the first episode one night I have been totally hooked because the writing is so good and the performances by the actors, especially Jim Parsons who plays Sheldon and Mayim Bialik who plays Amy and Kunal Nayyar who plays Raj (They're my favourite characters) is just the best comic acting I've seen in any TV sitcom for a long time (maybe since Cheers or, in the UK, Drop The Dead Donkey).

My least favourite characters are Howard and Bernadette because they're the most obnoxious although they have had some very touching romantic moments (like when Howard serenaded Bernadette in The Cheesecake Factory or sang to her in quarantine on her Birthday with the other cast members) but I prefer Howard and Raj together and Bernadette when she's with Amy and Penny.  I think Penny and Leonard, because they're the closest to a typical romantic couple are the least interesting of the three couples.

Barry Kripke  (Played by John Ross Bowie) is also a really good comedy villain and archenemy of Sheldon.

I am worried that Raj is going to end up being the "Joey" and, like Joey in the tv series Friends, be the only character who doesn't find love although I know the writers have talked about pairing him up with Lucy (Kate Micucci) the girl with Social Anxiety problems. I would also feel sad if Stuart who runs the comic book store didn't find someone and, if Raj doesn't enter a permanent romantic relationship with someone, I would like to see him and Stuart go off together in the kind of platonic relationship he had with Howard.

I agree its a great series. I haven't watched all that much of it, because I mostly have to do other things with my time, but whenever I do see it I always laugh a lot. Very well written!

I love it.... yeah, I love it... 'nuf said

I have watched quite a bit of it and do find it very funny. Sheldon is just spot on - so self aware and yet so unaware. He's a brilliant character and there are people like him. Brilliant stuff.
