How much do you want to spend and what kind of food do you like? How many of you are going? The Terre a Terre Christmas lunch is always fantastic - but it's not cheap and it is vegetarian - the only veggie restaurant in the world with a Michelin star, I believe. Oki Nami is a great Japanese place - but again not cheap. L'Eglise in Hove is a very good French bistro or The Foragers pub in Hove has excellent gastropub stuff. There's a selection but there are loads more!!!

Thanks Tony, that's a great starting point. It's a special family treat and I'm loaded so not bothered about the price. If you've got anymore I'd welcome them. Thanks again.

For a family bash it might be best to head for either The Hotel du Vin or The Ginger Man - but both get booked up so get in there early! good luck.
