Just thought this was brilliant writing, really enjoyed it and surprised that it hasn't had more reads/comments. I thought cherries were a given, but what do I know.
It is long, but it's quality, well worth a look

Sid - many thanks for flagging this up. Yes, it is long...possibly too long for a single posting. But I've received some good feedback, not least from yourself, for which I'm grateful. Will post a shorter next extract soon!

I didn't think it was too long at all, it's only a slog when the writing is tedious. Glad you dont mind my presumptuousness in slapping it on the forum. And glad to see the cherries have arrived :D
