Red

Red as oxygenated blood
Red as little Miss Riding's velvet hood
Red as Cock Robin's feathered breast
Or a crowing cocks helmeted crest
Sweet as redcurrant tarts
Arrogant like the ace of hearts
Wild as a gamblers diamond flush
Fizzy like a strawberry crush
Gentle as a virgins blush
Red sky at night
Means shepherd's hut must be alight
Fire-chiefs cars
Red Planet Mars
Red Chinese flag
Red Russian gulag
Unspeakable call red hunting pink
Red as cowpoke's conjunctivitis drink
Red for danger red for stop
Red-coated Canadian equestrian cop
Red as a beautiful blushing rose
Rudolph the Reindeer's shiny red nose
Red side of ship is known as port
Red-handed thieves are often caught
Co-ordinated red flannel draws
Keep out the cold for Santa Claus
Nature's red in tooth and claw
With bites and wounds that are red raw
Red-lead paint preserving ships
Red nail varnish protecting fingertips
Red Admirals fly, while others command
Red letters that all too often demand
Red rags at bulls should not be shaken or
Red Cross may have to save your bacon
It might be said a red-letter day is one
Yielding the exploited just red cents for pay
Clich? cites sooner red than dead
If you've got this far then my poem is red
