Kiss

I found you in the fading warmth
of a now distant Summer twilight
hiding amongst the trees and flowers
you lured me to your secret bed

I held you closely in my arms
and brushed aside your Autumn hair
and tempted by your perfect lips
I kissed you with my aching soul

the whispers of your impatient heart
and the gentle pressing of your flesh
the passion that raced through your fingertips
met the tingling of each wanting pulse

the world dissolved around our feet
till none were left but you and I
and held in our infinite embrace
we swam through dreams of endless love

and in the bright and golden dawn
we lay in sheets of leaf and dew
and fell into each others arms
waiting to greet the warming sun
