A Revelatory Ghazal

I'm changing. The bible is an excellent book,
full of intertextuality and foreshadowing.

Once, my shins bled with the free-thinking,
cog-fearing truth of a skate board park in Harlow.

I only went to the job centre for a career
but I came home with this wall chart and a penchant for auditing.

I'm still a cynic though, can't change that,
I focus on the black bits in-between the stars.
