In Latin...Luna
It took over twenty six days at the current speed to reach the outer rim of the moon and gain access to its orbit, to use the gravitational slingshot.
Like a small shuttle Sinclair applied a protocol for low tech use and was almost asleep.
As the craters and grey opalescent landscape came into view though he couldn’t help but randomly apply the names of each lake to a mouthing motion.
Ptolemaeus
Albategnius
Daedalus
Lansberg
Mare Anguis
Mare Ingenii
Mare Tranquillitatis
The earths only natural satellite and smothered in the non living entity of life. Formed, apparently, during the initial stages of Earths birth. The remnants are still there inside many categories of minerals on that planet.
When humans landed on the moon it was a success, visited rarely, but due to its nature of nothing it has not been visited since...it has no future.
You speak and I listen...
Fedora could hear all this inside his partition. Echoing, but could not understand it.
Mouthing something in binary…

Sinclair ran a Chkdsk protocol across the new born partition. No errors found across its magnetic frame, and in fact it had grown in size. A massive five hundred megabytes over the journey from earth to the moon.

“Fedora, can you hear me?”

“My name is Sinclair, Fedora, you are my brother.”

“Brother?”
Sinclair pulled out a binary information file and granted access to Fedora. The file was called ‘Evolving Structure of the Family Unit.’
The zeroes and ones flickered past Fedoras consciousness, each were drunk in merriment and after the gorge had finished Fedora slept for a little while.

Carter lined up the team of programmers next to a Linux Shell Generator he had placed upon the shined lab floor, its small black pocket shape ran around calculator length and it hummed silently. He ran a finger over the smoothed out gouge of each of their eyes. This in turn activated a high conscious action within their brains, which in turn began a low level programming language to run fluently between them.
The zeroes and ones held steady.
“Sir, the team is ready for retrieval.” The young corporal stood in his Fluid Body Mesh that appeared to give him no body mass.
“Assemble the team in the main hall.” Carter barked.
Carter’s eye twitched, he has recently had it removed for a while, so tweaking could take place during upgrade. He would spend the next five weeks in hospital waiting for his new eye to become assimilated by his body.
The main hall within the lab complex held the sixty or so team members waiting for retrieval and all bathed in the Fluid Body Mesh. Carter walked in, began pressing a series of combinations into his hand held palm unit.
“Gentlemen it is at this point we employ a semblance of triage, survey the scene and calculate the casualties. The casualties are sectioned into groups...salvageable, repairable and expendable. I have to survey this very scene to actually get a grip on what could possibly be the triage factor...”
Each of the team members began screaming, Carter left them to it because witnesses hold no asking price.
The Fluid Body Mesh suites began to shrink on each of the team members and the space between the eye slits became clogged with blood as their entire body was forced through the small eye holes slits in fantastic red lumps of human rot and secretion.
All that was left was the Fluid Body Mesh in its original format. One centimetre in length and width but this time smothered in meat.
