The Lord of the Rings

Fantasy literature is my favorite type of literature. In my opinion nothing in fantasy literature comes even close to "The Lord of the Rings" by J.R.R. Tolkien.

With this I am not saying that other fantasy literature is bad. Not at all! Just that The Lord of the Rings, but also The Silmarillion, The Hobit, and other books by J.R.R. Tolkien or books edited by his son Christopher Tolkien is just so fantastic!

Obviously, I may not be entirely objective here, because I am a huge Tolkien fan, :).

Poems in this category are inspired by "The Lord of the Rings" and other Tolkien books. I had planned to write many poems on characters in the books, but that has not worked yet. What I have, you can find in this category.

Enjoy!

Gollum

Gollum or Smeagol always remains the surprise of "The Lord of the Rings" to me. Plotting evil, wanting the ring back, he saved Middle Earth.

Boromir

Boromir represents the "Why can we not...". The ring took him and he wanted to take it. But in the end he was a hero of Gondor, blessed by his king.

Gandalf

Everybody now knows "The Lord of the Rings", because of the movies. So everybody definitely knows Gandalf, :).
