Peace Wars

Groping and searching, arms stretched out wide
In an effort to find something to seize
Stumbling and shaking from side to side
Crawling in the dark, no moments of ease
Hear the voice calling, as loud noises fill
A loss of sanity as it fades to a blur
Ranting and raving, a cry loud and shrill
The sound of destruction, of sickening fear
Questions unanswered, left in shrouds of pain
Each living moment filled with doubts
Plagued by a selfish desire to gain
Forced to succumb to the dictates and shouts
Sadism lies behind one man’s call
With thousands of innocent to take the fall
