GOVERNTMENT STRONGHOLD-CITADEL
Atop the first set of stairs were three Mandarins. Alucard at the right, hands behind his back, wearing his signature reddish-black overcoat, and shirtless as usual. In the middle was Nefetriti with a change of clothes, her hair in a rather large ponytail ribboned up by a fan-like hair accessory. She had her overcoat buttoned up at the lower portion of her chest as she too- at this occasion -was topless, revealing, however, an appropriate amount of cleavage. She had on a bright baby blue silk obi-skirt double rapped around her waist, and this time a gold and diamond necklace. At the left was Loki, the Northwestern Mandarin, his coat worn as a royal cape and also shirtless.
Yussupov, who was standing in front of them upon a lavishing red carpet that was a bit dirty, wore his overcoat much like a cape as well, his hair more out of place than usual, and shirtless, so on and so forth. The whole shirtless gimmick is in fact a mandarin dress code and a source of pride for them. They’re well known for the unbreakable bodies that they own.
"He lost an arm? Well, that’s too bad," Alucard commented
"Yes, I'm going to get it fixed, though. It’s the least I can do," Yussupov replied
"Who is this young man we are talking about?" Loki asked. "Is he a little shit, because if he is and Alucard put him as a replacement, then what is this world coming to?"
"Well, if you’d showed up at the annual convention you wouldn’t be asking that stupid question you always ask when you want info on someone," Yussupov explained with attitude, insulting his neighboring Mandarin.
Loki clenched his teeth in frustration. When he was about to mouth off back he was interrupted. Why is it you guys forget about me all the time?” asked a large, burly man behind Yussupov.
“You weren’t at the meeting? Strange, I though Loki and Wraith were the only ones absent. How’d we miss you, Mandarin Grande Schneider? ” Yussupov asked.
Grande was exactly that: huge, muscular. He was a body builder and professional fighter, though usually not alowed to participate in any competitions because he would utterly outclass his opponents. Most of the Mandarins seem to not really be aware of his presence or absence until vey late, because of one utter fact: he’s a normal human being.
All the Mandarins except for him come from esteemed super human families widely respected by the rest of the human race and naturally gifted with their own cursed or holy ability that makes other super human families pale in comparison. Unfortunately for the body builder and fighter, he does not come from one of those families and was born of common race. Grande had brown hair and a square jaw line, a thick neck and large biceps. His eyes were a normal brown and his nose was large. He had a German accent when he spoke and wore a grey and gold overcoat. He was shirtless like the rest, but he also wore no shoes.
“You know Grande, if you weren’t so normal and born from normal little shit I think I’d at least know you were here, but that would never change the fact that you're inferior shit and I have no respect for you whatsoever,” Loki insulted him.
Grande walked towards the Mandarin and up the stairs. Once he got up the stairs he looked at Loki, staring up his nose. Grande was only three inches shorter then Loki and a foot and inch taller then Yussupov. Grande's face was red as a cherry and he began to speak. “Shut it, cock sucker, before I rip your jaw out your mouth.” Loki grinned.
“Please, let's not have a fight in here. We aren’t here to kill each other, You can do that after we're done,” Alucard interrupted them. “However, Loki does have a point. You're too normal. I mean, simply compare yourself to the rest of us, Grande. I have blood-red hair and vampire fangs, Nefertiti has pink eyes and is a hundred-ten year old sex symbol but looks not a day older than twenty five, and Loki’s fucking purple. Look at yourself. You're just muscles and human. Even Yussupov, who’s scrawny as hell, is still unique. I mean, look at his eyes.” Alucard and Grande looked to meet Yussupov's eyes, but they quickly turned their heads back to meet each others eyes. “Never mind, he’s got creepy eyes. They're weird, don’t look at them. The point, however, is that you're not unique enough to be noticed by the rest of us. We are deeply sorry, but go find yourself something that makes you stand out. It’s just that we care about our friends and know that if you're ever going to be noticed by us you need to turn yourself into something different and likable, and I mean likable because Loki is an ass and we need someone who's not an ass on the team, who we can invite over and have a party or two with”
“Hey!” Loki reacted to the insult hidden in the inspirational yet we-don’t-like-who-you-are speech.
Grande stepped down the steps, head down and depressed like a child who couldn’t beat the high score on a video game. “So Yussupov, I see you bested your old friend, so what are you going to do now?” Alucard asked, changing the subject
“I’m going back to Deathrow. I still believe there are odd ends to even out back there.”
“How long will that take?”
“About a few days. Anyways, will some take this?” Yussupov lifted the Scythe up in their presence.
“OOOOO! is that B.B.'s scythe, because if it is I want it,” Loki demanded.
“Actually, I believe Nefertiti should have it,” Alucard insisted.
Nefertiti looked at him and he looked back at her. “Well, he was your ex-husband and you still have a lingering affection for him. It's only fair you take possession of it.”
Yussupov walked up to her, took her hand, and un-clenched it slowly. Then he placed the scythe in her hand and slowly curled her fingers around its handle. Then he moved her hand to her chest and let go of her arm, walking away to the door and not looking back.
“Well, now that that’s over I’m going to get cake,” Alucard shouted out, interrupting the mood intentionally. “Anyone want to join?”
“Oh, oh, I want cake!” Loki shouted back.
