brave poets

Is there justice in poetry.
No say I.
Will the poet go to battle with the curve
of a womans beautiful hip and plant a kiss
on her luscious tender lips
whispering sweet nothings and nibbling her lobes
all while he smoothly disrobes
and expresses his undying love in the wee hours
and runs naked in rain showers
or down a sandy beach with palm trees
and all while armed only with a pen?
No say I.
He has courage and he has purpose to his words
and he spins a tale of tales
with a vocabulary of a scholar
he seeks to be perfect with punctuation
yet the creation he seeks to create
in the minds of an audience
pales in comparison to the truth
of one single moment in life
so capture one single moment
and you shall be a godly poet
yet justice is not yours ,until then, but Gods,
you brave poets
