Dream - - The Warmth In Its Eyes

I'm in a huge dark shopping centre. I've visited this place in a previous dream, in which me and my friend Cath went to Ireland. I walk around for a bit, then go outside. It is broad daylight, and I can see that I seem to be in the city from "The Polar Express", only human-sized and sunny. There are many hills - made out of the roofs of various different-sized buildings, and everything is very clean. I think the buildings are made out of some sort of clay, similar to the buildings of Tattooine, only not as dusty.
I realise that I want to go to prison, so that my cellmate will beat me up. No idea where this desire came from. So I steal something from my real-life choral director Delyth, so that I'll be arrested and imprisoned. However, I realise after this that I don't want to go to prison after all - too late, Delyth is already running after me. A chase sequence ensues, running over the rooftops and through the narrow cobbled streets. I eventually give up, and let myself get caught.
The prison cell is quite large, with straw on the floor, and the bars open directly onto the street. My cellmate is huge - really tall and muscular, and to my disappointment he doesn't beat me up. I escape prison and go exploring.
It's night-time. Me and my dad are walking towards a block of flats, like the ones in Sketty near where I live. However, it is the only building in sight, and it is surrounded by forests and grass. I think I went on the lam after I escaped from prison, and this is where I'm going to hide out.
Suddenly, while still walking towards the block of flats, we look up and gasp in amazement. The night sky is covered in colourful shapes and patterns - blinding lights, stretching, flying and zooming in every direction, huge and miles above our heads. One light zig zags around particularly fast and brightly, and then zooms right towards us. It goes right in front of my face, inches away from my nose, and I can see that it's a small spaceship, a bit smaller than the flying thing from Flubber. I pass out from the shock.
I wake up about five seconds later, and get up. The spaceship approaches again and I don't pass out, although I get the same strangled, pressurised feeling and hear the same loud, stifling, rushing, whining noise in my ears that I did when I first passed out. It looks right into my eyes, and I can see inside it - alot of clicking, thrumming gears and fast-spinning wheels, and at the very centre is a small red glow. I hear my dad say something like "Look at the warmth in its eyes". Either eyes or stomach. I realise it is not a spaceship, as I had previously surmised - it is in fact a living creature. Some kind of screen pulls back, and inside I can see a red helmet, like the helmet of the Emperor's Guard from Star Wars. It tells me in my head that there is no need to be afraid.
The scene changes again. It is still night-time, but I am sitting on a slightly damp grassy bank, with the spaceship thing zooming around my head. Peculiar flowers are all around me - large smooth bulbs emitting soft, dim glows in different colours. The spaceship and me are talking, almost chatting, and I am very much at ease. The spaceship says, "So....what's your favourite Beatles album?" Ans I say, "Oh, I don't know - Revolver, I guess." Suddenly an intense purple light burns into my eyes, and I am paralysed by it. A peculiar alien language, harsh and gargling, screams in my head. I realise that the spaceship is in fact malevolent, and its plan was that by learning something personal about me it is able to bring an end to the world, and perhaps the entire universe. This is when I wake up, still paralysed by the light and unable to escape.
