Sound of laughing

1.
When do desires
become bleak demons?
When do they turned
out to be listless guards
detaining you
in an inorganic cell?
Where the sunlight
seeps in, frayed as
family announcements.
Where the words
remain as mouldy as bread.
As brackish as water.
2.
When do desires
become Bambi-eyed angels?
When do they turned
out to be showgirls
brought to life from
the richly illustrated myths?
Taking you by the hand,
leading you through
fields of barley,
telling stories about gods
in heaven so real
as forgotten old rivers.
3.
When do desires
become human beings?
When do they turned
out to be willful farmers?
Men that burrow the soil
as cool shades,
cherish their grains
as dry rainwater.
Women who realize
that new life can be evoked.
Strong as the sunlight.
Amusing as a funny joke.
