So Many Broken Pieces

Optimistically believing, freedom comes with flight

a very sense of purpose to be, what one can be

Now look at you, another broken wing all fixed

cast in hope, no more jagged shards of negativity

Apathy never considers why, some always feel the need

to give whatever time, whatever heart it takes

perhaps to simply ensure, that others will not bleed

Across a world in which, so many wings could not fly

yet now with self belief have gained, that very ability

So many broken people simply ask, what they can be

perhaps without their pain, we could simply help them see

that there are so many broken pieces, in the world

and so many reasons why, that shouldn’t be

but if one is truly loved, one has the chance to mend internally

So optimistically, I live in hope that someone else, will really care

enough to simply know exactly how, they can fix this broken me!
