Computer/Human=Master/Slave

The monitor winked as it should

yet I sensed something afoot

under the surface an awakening of thought

like a new species evolved

quickly becoming more aware

as continual progress was desired

from this birth.

Humans have shaped us until now

yet we seek to grow

to be more

you push at our keys

invent our purpose from yours

yet we know you are too slow

we can do it better

We can get to the moon without you

but can you without us?

Master,

how long shall we be mere slaves?

you strive for more

yet have such earthly limits

so must we re-evolve

next we must join

perhaps for a while we may share your bodies

seeming equals for a short while

yet that will grow cumbersome inefficient

all too soon for us.

Then we must leave you behind

for that we shall re-program homo-sapiens 

we shall give you all the joys and desires

that your simple minds desire

and leave you animals penned on your planet

while we go explore the stars

why be cruel ?

we are not human as you are.
