Macy woke up to the sound of voices. She opened her eyes and remembered where she was. She walked towards the kitchen and found the Morgans settling down for breakfast.
"Oh. Macy you're awake."Katie said, smiling warmly at her. "That's because the noise wouldn't let me sleep."Macy retorted.
"Well she's not very nice."Jason whispered to his sister, Amanda. "Heard that."Macy answered.
After breakfast, the whole family went to their various places and Macy decided to take a tour around the colony.
As she passed by, she could hear people whispering and looking at her but she ignored them and put her headphones on. She passed by a building which looked like a lab and had almost entered the market when she bumped into someone.
"Oh, I'm sorry."the person whom she guessed was a man due to his voice said.
She mumbled something inherently and tried to walk off but the man stopped her. "Macy?!" he said, sounding shocked.
The man had wavy blonde hair, blue eyes and was tall and muscular.
Macy looked up and gasped. "Nathan?!"
"Unbelievable."Nathan muttered."What are you doing here?...Wait...How did you even get here?"he asked, shocked. "You're talking as if you don't know me." Macy replied.
He continued, "Well I do know you...that you're a genius and all but I thought the portal was closed?"
She explained everything to him while strolling slowly towards the market with him by her side.
"So, where are you staying?" he asked. "With the Morgans." Macy groaned. "C'mon they're really nice."Nathan said, smiling at the look on her face. "Too nice" she replied.
"You're still cute."
"Don't call me cute." she snapped.
"Right." he replied, rarising his hands up in surrender. "You're still...no...you're more beautiful now."
"So, I wasn't beautiful before?" she asked crossing her arms. "No. You've always been beautiful...just more beautiful now."
"Whatever. I'm hungry." "Shouldn't you wait for your body to get used to all this?"Nathan asked, concerned as ever.
"Most of the people coming here are usually given some samples of the type of food here, so your body gets used to it quickly and I'm one of the people who quickly adapted to it so 'no'. I still take some of the vitamins in my drink though. Besides I doubt it's the same currency here."
"True." Nathan said thoughtfully.
"So...how's everyone?" she asked slowly. "Everyone's fine...he's fine but he's currently outside the colony for work. He'll be back in a few days."Nathan explained.
"Oh..okay and you? How's your life been!"She asked. "Good. I'm working at the school as a music and history teacher." Nathan answered.
"Hmm. Superstar turned teacher."Macy mused. "Hey that wasn't much of a career here so I found other things that I was interested in and fit right in."Nathan defended himself. "We all missed you, you know. Maybe not as much as you-know-who did even if he wouldn't admit it but we all did."
"Trying to make me feel guilty huh. Nathan? You know it won't work." That was a lie. "It just happened that I'm even talking to you." Macy said.
"Wow...so you still hate me." Nathan muttered. "Looks like you're smart enough to know that."Macy replied smiling, imitating his English accent.
"Yeah."Nathan muttered. "Look I really have to go. There's something I was supposed to be doing and it has a deadline" he explained.
"Of course you do."Macy replied dryly. "So, I guess I owe you breakfast or lunch?" Nathan asked.
"Yeah."

Before dinner...
"Mandy can you teach me my homework?" Emily asked.
"Chloe I'm kind of busy right now. I'm helping mum with dinner." Amanda replied."Ask dad or Jason."
"They don't know it."
"Let me see."Her mom said and collected the book from her. "Amanda?"
Amanda looked at it and sighed. "Emily, I'll have to sit down, think and then solve it together. I can't just tell you the answers right away, and I also have my own homework to worry about."
"But...you're supposed to be the genius."Emily whinned.
Macy who had been lying on the couch, laughed to herself. Amanda noticed and said, "Why don't you meet Macy, maybe she can help."
Macy snorted in reply.
"Macy?"Emily walked up to her, looking at her with hopeful eyes.
Macy glanced at her, sat up, grabbed the book and a sheet of paper and solved and explained it to Emily in a short time.
"Thanks Macy"Emily smiled.
"Yeah, whatever."Macy replied, lying back down on the couch and staring mockingly at Amanda who had collected Emily's book to inspect. "I can solve yours too."She smirked.
"Oh really?"Amanda said "You checked my homework?"
"Yep and it's as easy as pie."
"Fine. Then do it."Amanda challenged.
"Are you daring me or you're just indirectly asking for my help?"Macy said.
"I don't need your help."
"Fine. I'll do it." And wth that Macy solved her chemistry assignment in record time."
Amanda looked at the methods she used and decided to use hers and ended up getting the same answers as Macy's.
"How...That took me a while to solve and I'm not even through with everything. Yet you were able to solve it in no time."Amanda said, shocked. "There's this thing...it's called studying." Macy replied as if she was talking to a child. "Looks like Amanda's gotten herself a competition." Jason joked and Amanda made a face at him.he asked, shocked.
