Lightness and Weight

Love me eternally, heart's gravity
love me once, free of consequence
a moth to a flame
light on her wings
defying gravity
You began by possessing all of me
now, you give me back to myself
Piece by piece
kiss by kiss
bite by bite
we call this love
you took me, broke me, and returned me to myself in pieces
and when I stitch this flesh back together again
with a little help from my horses
and all of my friends
i will still bear the scars of your love
lines like a map etched across my flesh
when all is given, returned, pieced together
lines are drawn
Will you read the map that is sketched onto my flesh back to me
and guide me home?
or do you still have another compass to follow
Leaving me alone?
A moth to a flame
Wings consumed by the light
Her love dying weightlessly
