November

As we’re going
As this life passes
Our once sweet October,
Now a dreaded November
Let me be light!
Away with my storm
Allow me, my love
To forget all I’ve torn
To love and to cherish?
To have and to hold?
To be, my love, so terribly
bold?
I have not a sweet
morning more
As my soul reaches
This sacred shore
I have kissed you in
moonlight
And tasted demise
Loved on long afternoons
Died with every sunrise
But this love,
This pain we have known
Recedes to the sea
The deep, eternal blue
I live by chance
I am not one to chose
My fate, my sweet fate!
My life to lose

Terriffic Poem!
This poem is composed quite exquisitely. I appreciate the clever selection of words and how it is pieced together! The way it flows so eloquently is very commendable! I adore your cleverness and how well written this is! Great job!
