I am a leftover

I am a leftover,
One of those put aside: b’tray’d
Set away for... something…
 I’m unwanted, separate
Dis-guarded and ignored.
A broken tooth on a cog
That spurts when it’s turn comes round.
I’m not listened to
My prayers fall on deaf ears
And are echoes against the wall.
My feelings don’t matter
My ideas are wrong
I am not thought of
The solution I have doesn’t fit
My position isn’t valid
My argument is unfounded
I have no purpose here.
I am ignored my time is over
My reason for being here finished
My notions are questioned and then ignored.
I am non-existence.  I do not live
I have never lived I will never live
I have never meant to live
For I do not belong.

I am a leftover
But  I am proud

And I am defiant.

if you hadn't put the last line in i might have got nasty about it.

Otherwise not a bad peice.

It got a bit of a pasting on Facebook, when I published it there. It was too negative; which I think, was my fault for not giving context to the peice. Its essentially supposed to be about celebrating being uniqe rather than a pile of self absorbed negative thinking however, Ive composed the reply, to  this, which I have been  working on this morning. Its called "the reply"
