Sunlight like smiles

Sunlight, like smiles,
Opens my eyes.
I see you for what you are.
Strangely it is unexpected,
Like a bright dagger
Of crystalline sex.
Orchestra in the dark
Plays all my melodies.
As the sun comes up
The tunes change.
Beautiful harmony
Now a cacophony strutting death.
Sweeping into the shore,
Eternal tides
Are a never ending clock of time.
For one day only
I wear a crown of seven stars,
And sea-serenity fills my mind.

There's something quite
There's something quite peaceful and dreamlike about this poem Hilary.
I love the idea of wearing a crown of seven stars and sea-serenity filling your mind. I had this image of you on a beach alone at night watching the ocean, the sky full of bright twinkling stars. Maybe you are meditating. An orchestra in the dark playing melodies.
Some beautiful descriptions here that captured my imagination.
Many thanks for sharing. You should write more poetry.
Jenny.

Seems some deep poignant
Seems some deep poignant disillusionment. Serenity will always get disturbed in this life, and even with respect and honesty in companionship, so much hurt can happen. I hope you know some real serenity and hope in midst of the cacophony times. Rhiannon
