Moonlight Bay
They cast a moonlight shadow on those lonely midnight sands
Stumbling, not strolling two forbidden lovers hand in hand
The purest of thoughts, the sweetest of sorrows
In the emptiness of dawn there would be no tomorrow
They tenderly stripped, not for sweet sexual union intent
But seeking Poseidon’s watery judgement on love that was sent
Two doomed lovers moved unwavering toward the silvery ghost
They we compelled by their vows to seek their end with the silvery host
As the waters closed over, the two did submit
But not for an instant did their hands lose their grip
As sun rose the lovers where missing
Davy alone sees them still kissing

Tragic love. Paraphrasing
Tragic love. Paraphrasing Srevie Smith: not swimming but drowning...
Best, Luigi.
