A strong grip then grasped the younger boy. Each finger wrestled their way around the slender hand and pulled him to his feet.
Sheldon brushed off his pants and said "thanks," as dust drifted away in a lazy cloud.
"You're brave for a nerd."
"I'm not a nerd!"
"Yeah?"
"I mean it," answered Sheldon.
"Do you want to be my friend?"
"Why?"
"'Cause I got no friends. And you're a tough little nut."
"Okay." Sheldon said solemnly. Imagine being friends with the playground bully? Wait 'til his friends found out. Now his other enemies might think twice before trying to pound him.
Troy surprised Sheldon by rushing over and giving him a hard shot on his arm. "Awesome!" he said.
Sheldon looked carefully at this fellow who usrovenced to be one of a group who chased him home, from school. Troy had heavy shoulders and a trim waist. Sheldon wondered if he had taken boxing lessons or something.
After 'high five’s' for friendship, they were inseparable. Everyone said Sheldon had an immediate positive effect on Troy. It didn't matter, since they enjoyed each other's company.
"Would their friendship last past this crisis?" Sheldon wondered as he mulled over the events of the last few minutes. He headed for his bike.
Right now he wasn't very happy with Troy.

Hi Richard,
Hi Richard,
I think you can put on three pieces in 24 hours, and there's quite a long word count to each piece. But the problem with that is, that I don't know if I could keep up with reading, but then again abc tales isn't going anywhere so there's plenty of time to read. My suggestion is just to keep going as you are, it's a lot easier to keep up this way.
Jenny.
