Lockdown

During this pandemic,
We are all going stir crazy
Locked indoors like criminals
Staring at those same god-damn walls.
I am talking to those four walls,
Awaiting a reply.
I wonder if I bounce on them
Would they even let out a sigh?
Thinking about all those lives that have been lost,
Thousands of lives, and for what cost?
Is this a plague from the higher man himself?
or was it a lab test that somehow escaped the shelves.
We will never know the truth,
This won’t be exposed!
We just need to support each other
And try the best we can, I suppose?
Now having my children home,
It has been a treat.
But how many times can I listen to
YouTube on repeat!
My son is into fortnite,
But shouts to his friends
And sometimes at 7am,
This drives me around the bend!
I know I don’t have that much stress
Compared to those on bed rest
But I wish there was more I could do
But this is unfamiliar, I don’t have a clue!
I hope the toll, slows itself down
I hope Boris recovers fast
And the queen still wears a crown.
I hope that all of you reading this are well.
And I hope this ends soon or I’ll be sent to hell.

Good expressive poem about
Good expressive poem about what we are all experiencing to some measure - just think how we feel, at least you have your kids with you but we cant even see our kids or grandkids including you of course except through the wonders of technology, better than nothing but not the same! Keep sane baby and keep writing (including your uni work!) love always
