Yeah, we moved on pretty quickly from your mum and dad’s 78s on that old Dansette. Was it red? Leatherette?
One, two and then rock…
We went by way of platies and neon tetras; that holiday at Primrose Valley where you stole the scenes and the best girls with your Gary Glitter impression. We fell out around about then.
And now I remember the girl from Leeds – Middleton, I think. We wrote to each other for a little while. I can see the envelopes. And then the letters stopped.
You had a Raleigh Chopper. I had an old postman’s bike my dad bought at the auction room in Toft Green.
Ballroom Blitz. Remember that one?
Those were the songs, weren’t they?
Then Bowie. That was it, man. The spaceship landed.
They were great days. The big lads had their Kawasaki Z900s, but we had our music.
We had good times.
It was alright.
I saw the bassist had died. Just now on Facebook.
Facebook.
What the fuck?
Hope you’re doing ok.
Keeping the faith in some way.

A treasure trove of memories
Hi Kevin,
A treasure trove of memories to cherish, even if they're not all great.
It's always sad learning about someones death, may he rest in peace.
Jenny.
