Dad – Look
the cows are running
with us
and soon again
another spate of words-
dad look
trees are running
behind us.
A couple across the train aisle
remarked:
sir perhaps your son
needs a good psychiatric
assessment.
No the father responded.
You see our son
just had a final operation
on his eyes. It’s the
first time he can see-
he’s been blind since birth.

What a wonderful account of suddenly being able to see. To imagine the gift of sight that most of us take for granted is very precious.
A poem reminding me of how lucky I am.
Thank you for sharing Richard.
