COLD

Cold seeps through crevices
that grow between the window
and the wall. Like vines that
creep into existence; enveloping
and overwhelming, entwining
round and through and round and through;
stitches in your subconscious that make
you sure that you have only ever been cold.

I agree with Di, what a great
I agree with Di, what a great metaphor for draughts, reminds me of our kitchen windows that aren't double glazed. A seasonal poem indeed.

Beautifully small and accurate. I loved the 'round and through and round and through' which seemed to add silence and timelessness to it.
