It’s Just A Matter Of Time

.Adam Glazier was attempting to set a new record for going around the world in a hot air  balloon . The first part of the journey was full of astonishment with a bird’s eye view of jungles and mountains below in the basket where he stood . He saw storm clouds gather and flashes lightening so he decided to set the balloon back down on the ground until the storm passed . He spotted a clearing on top of a flat mountain that seemed ideal so he began.

to adjust the burner release some of the hot air and as some of the air started to cool the balloon made it steady descent to the chosen place . Riding the wind and steering the balloon down to the mountain top was a skilled operation that went trouble free and painless . After securing the balloon with ropes to trees he looked for some shelter from the storm that approached .

As he looked around, he saw crevice in the ground . He went to the balloon and took a bright torch from the basket under the balloon and returned to the crevice in the ground ,as he shone a light down through the crack he saw there were some steps that went down inside the mountain  .

Feeling astonished at what he saw he decided to go down to have a look and what was there . Lowering himself through the crevice onto  a ledge that overlooked a large cavern . He went down the steps there to first level below and noticed some corridors within the inner wall of the mountain and make some arrow marks in the dirt of the way he was going in case he got lost .

He heard the sound of water flowing and went towards that direction . He screamed in delight when he came to inner lake , His scream sent echoes all around the walls of the cavern . He started to scream again , louder  and louder just to listen to his voice coming back at him .

Then he saw a tree growing near the lake and under the tree he saw a few small creatures . He approached slowly and carefully , the small  animals came over to him and stood by his side . They seemed friendly enough and never in his life had he ever seen anything like them and he thought it was also the same experience for the animals as well who began to smell his feet and look at his face .

On the tree was some fruit that he never recognised and he decided to try it .

As he took a bite suddenly he saw he was surrounded by colours and lights . Sounds arose from inside the cavern floor and another light showed a passageway down some stairs . He made his way to that place and continued his journey until he came to a clock that stood on a landing . Beside the clock was a door so he pushed open the  door and on the other side he discovered another world all around him . Everything was beautiful that he saw and he had this feeling of emptiness inside that grew bigger and bigger .

The sound of a clock began to chime as a strange wind blew across the land before and below him in a valley that stretched out as far as he could see .

It was the sunrise of a new day and he stretched his arms and shouted.

“It’s a new day”.

.Then he heard a gentle voice speak to him ,

“What’s the problem , haven’t you seen a sunrise before ? :

He turned around and saw a woman with skin as white as milk and hair like silk falling upon her shoulders . Her eyes were a mixture of blue, green and silver and  he said .

“I have never seen a sunrise here in this inner world before  “

She responded ,

“We are the inner dwellers of earth and in a matter of time your species will get to know us . We are not the same as those where you come from but we do share the same planet . How ever did you find this place ?”

He explained about coming on a hot air balloon to get out of the storm and she responded ,

“ Never before has a voice been spoken from your world to our world . This is a wonderful thing . A man from outer earth and a woman from inner earth sharing communication “

He responded.

“ Never before have I set eyes on a woman from inner earth or experienced a sunrise in this world ever before,  Shine on  “

She placed her hand on his head and suddenly his is mind was he was filled with images and visions of another world . He was looking down from above at a beautiful garden and the sun was shining all around with the birds  singing in the trees bad fruit hanging from the trees that stood in gardens with the greenest coloured grass he had ever seen , there were strange plants and trees with flowers of every kind colour .

Then he was brought back

 To where he was standing beside her and he asked.

”How did you do that ?”

“We have gifts and in the future, we are going to help those who live in your world . When the  time is right , we are going to make ourselves known to you all . It will be a new day for all the people of the earth “

She replied .

What is your name.“

He asked ,

“My name is Eden what is your name “

“I am Adam”.

”Adam nice to meet you , it’s the first time one of your kind has been here “

They both stood there looking at the valley and although they talked for hours about the wonder of life and everything around them . Eden assured him that in her world time never existed and as soon as he would returned back to his world only seconds would have passed .

They both walked and talked about life and they were so happy to share the moment together . They laughed at how fantastic it was that they had met and asked if he would see her again once he returned to his world and she said 

‘It’s just a matter of time Adam “

She placed her hand over his head and when he awoke, he was standing back again on the mountain top beside his hot air balloon  .He removed the ropes and got back into the basket . The storm had passed and he turned on the burners and hot air began to rise into the balloon ..

It was just a matter of time and the balloon started to rise into the sky once more .

He thought did he have a hallucination or did it really happen .

Who would believe him if he told his story of inner earth .

Then he remembered the last words she had said to him

“Its just a matter of time “

So, he knew that one day he would see her again,

He finished his record attempt earlier than hen had hoped due to some storms that were about to arrive but it was just a matter of time before he would have another attempt to break the record .,
