Twitter Coop: Patrons and Minders

Itinerant audience swells.
Peering into solitary coop,
bristling chicks surround
scavenging dropped grains
parsing each golden kernel
re-gurging fibrous husks.
Residual fodder sprouts;
Twitter birds chirp,
tweeting shrill blurbs.
Above the fray,
in ivory towers,
titans of the air waves
watch feeding frenzy, then
descend from lofty perches.
With sharp, discerning talons,
gratuitous poachers scour
the mediated surface,
for utility, value.
Loose threads, yarns, they
spin into colorful patches;
Twine into the quilted fabric
