Grain Fed

Beautiful steaks sit on the counter
Waiting to be grilled
And on the package
Like a sticker on my homework
Sits two words : "grain fed"
What an atrocity!
Flaunting the fact
Cows were slaughtered
While covered in God knows who's feces
About to be processed
With antibiotics that will prevent us
From regaining health when we fall ill
These cows were stuffed with corn
To get so fat they waddle
And when they're too fat to walk,
They're whipped for not moving fast enough
This is being proudly advertised on my steaks
People have no clue what "grain fed" entails
Suddenly, I'm more in the mood for salad
