BREAD

Shove it in a toaster,
Whack it in a pudding.
Make it into a sandwich,
To be filled with almost anything.

Bread and cheese. Bread and jam.
If you eat meat; bread and ham.
Bread and butter. Or with spread.
Oh, the wonderment of bread.

I don't advise you, however,
To roll it up into a ball,
Like I did with a piece of bread,
When I was somewhat bored and 'small'.
For what I ended up with,
Was a mangy piece of dough.
It made me feel quite bad,
Though it was a long time ago.
