CORNER OF DARKNESS

Among a flood of tears,
Within a sleepless night.
In a corner of darkness,
Just missing the light.

In a cry of anguish.
Within a painful plight.
In that corner of darkness,
Just out of your sight.

That corner of darkness,
Your eyes don't care to see.
But there in that corner,
Is where you will find me.

If that sombre corner,
You'd let yourself explore,
It would then be a corner of darkness,
No more.
