PICTURE OF HIM

I keep his picture safely,
In a secret hiding place.
Where no-one, except for me,
Gets to see his lovely face.
He is mine. And mine alone.
They cannot get to him there.
They can't touch my precious one,
For I'm not willing to share.
I won't let them tarnish him,
And wreck such a perfect scene.
I don't want them hurting him,
And destroying what he means.
Their grubby, greedy fingers.
Their snatching, destructive hands.
Their lustful, uncaring eyes.
They would only wreck that man.
They don't see his real beauty.
They just see what their eyes see.
They don't care for the real him.
They just want him physically.
I keep his treasured picture,
In a place they'd never find,
Safe from their potential harm;
Somewhere, deep within my mind.
