She slammed the papers on his desk,
"This isn't good enough," she said.
His job had been like that for years.
"What's wrong?" he asked, rubbing his head.
"What's wrong?" she yelled, "What isn't wrong?
A five year old called do better!"
'Don't let her get to you'; he thought,
'She wants to hurt you - don't let her.'
"Well?" she said, with her haughty face.
He shrugged his shoulders, "Er, well what?"
She smirked as other workers watched,
"Look, do you want this job or not?"
He laughed out loud, "Oh, it's a job!
I thought it was a joke myself."
She felt embarrassment and rage,
"Why don't you look for something else?"
He got up from his seat proudly,
"You know, that is just what I'll do."
He pushed the papers back at her,
"You know where to shove them, don't you?"
