UNLOVED (BUT ANYWAY...)

My love for you began like spring,
Like nothing I had felt before.
The warmth of a new beginning,
You were the one I'd soon adore.
Summer came - how my love had grown.
Romance blossomed madly for you.
You made it hurt to be alone.
I wanted you to love me too.
When autumn came, the flowers died.
The light was sadly growing dim.
A loneliness within me sighed,
"You'll have to forget about him."
Winter showed me you didn't care.
My feelings had grown cold with pain.
But I guess there's hope, isn't there;
That spring will visit me again.
