Breaking news:
Chumly and Smythe PLC have withdrawn their Halloween winter costume called " Investment banker" due to pressure from the government.
"Personally I am very pleased that Chumly and Smythe have done this" said Peter Guffaw-Chinless the third, of the friends of merchant bankers group, most commonly known as "Bastard". "People have to understand that investment bankers are people too; and what one person might see as arrogance and greed, is in fact a cry for help. A second home in Steyning is in fact a symptom of a greater disease."
We spoke to a member of the public who purchased one of the costumes yesterday.
"well, I might take have to it back." said Jeremy Stevens, of potters green Green Banstead. "its supposed to come with a guard dog, and all we got was an IOU for forty million quid."..." Its the kids I feel sorry for, its simply ruining their night of fun."
Ivor Greenback, head of the chain of Chumly and Smythe department stores had this to say.
"We are very sorry that we have caused offence to a group of individual's whom are much maligned and misunderstood by the general public, besides I've been told that If I don't say this, then a black van will come and pick me up, cart me off to a field where I will be shot."
Iam-a Richgit, MP for Bramber said this : "Merchant Bankers are a much maligned group of individual's whom are very misunderstood, they contribute to this government in so many ways its hard to see how we could cope without them. How this company could deride them in such a manner is personally repugnant. and I will write a byline in the daily mail as soon as I can get my money out of Brent crude and into Gold."
The prime Minister was also shocked.
"I am shocked beyond words..." he began "...That no one has asked me my opinion about this yet, so I can get on the Telly and talk about how wonderful I am and how hard I am working."
In the meantime many children will have no costumes to wear this Halloween.
