Opinion
Killing seems to be what this government is about. If its not killing the sick, the NHS, education, the unemployed or the uneducated or demeaning the mentally ill: its now killing badgers. I suspect that its possibly doing this because it cannot get on with its favorite pastime setting a pack of dogs on a fox and killing that. Possibly to gratify some perverted sexual domination gene that is inbred into the soulless creatures that the Tories are.
As always, the information is not analysed properly: Some professor appears on the BBC sofa and spouts off about a half thought through proposal, and by lunch time its a law: They then blame the badger and turn up en mass in their 4x4's with their shotguns, and their sherry: blowing apart Badger sets with grenades at first, to move in for the kill with pistols at the ready, like the inflamed heartless zealots they are; determined to kill something, anything, regardless of whether the cattle in the area have TB or not.
Of course, only now has evidence come to light that this genocide of Badgers was in fact a huge cock up and after killing hundreds of Badgers, they have to then say that it was all a mistake.
I expect they will blame worms next, or perhaps something equally inoffensive like daffodils.
This will lead to some crazed guy, once again, sitting on the BBC Breakfast sofa with a map followed, a week later by the PR man standing around outside Number ten saying how hard he works while the Tory machine sets up G4s to go into the lake district armed with flame throwers and or spades, determined to wipe out the menace that are daffodils from the face of the earth; before, once again, they are proved so terribly wrong.
Well here is a surprise. If you don't know what it is, its a picture from the Daily Mail. Its a Badger. I expect it was used to inform its readers what to look out for as they drive about the countryside, performing random acts of cruelty.
Personally I think it looks terrifying: its eyes, its nose, and the shades of black and white make it a huge threat to something.
