History has a habit of repeating, because those who have the power to make a difference fight against those who want to make a change.
George Orwell is quoted as saying " The real division is not between conservatives and revolutionaries, but between authoritarians and libertarians" and I have come to believe that this is painfully true. Perhaps the meaning of the word "libertarian" has changed, but I don't think that the heart of the word has altered one little bit.
For as long as the authority of the nation is concentrating upon the needs of a select few, over the needs of the many. As long as the authority of the nation chooses to ignore the needs of those who are less fortunate. Then the power they think that they have, will slip through their fingers like fine grains of sand.
Freedom cost's.... it comes through painful conflict and utter determination. yet shines through the desperate acts, brought about by a desperate downtrodden people.
Freedom is hard won... in hard bloody conflicts, where the price is often far too high, and where many acts of selfless courage, are seldom recognised.
Freedom is fragile...its presence is barely felt when it exists, yet when it is lost is lack of presence is felt by those who came to recognise its precious fragrance...yet the battle of freedom usually starts with one person simply saying no... and from this action it's seed grows... and it flower's as it rolls, throughout an oppressive state.
Change is coming... the air is heavy with it...and with change, eventually comes freedom...
