Even the Queen bows her head

(i would usually write a remembrance day poem on remembrance day but I've been very busy lately)

Even the Queen bows her head to the dead,

and so she should, throughout her reign 

how many young men and women has she sentenced to their death?

How many grieving parents has she caused?

So no wonder she bows her head

she has a lot to give her respects to,

but i wonder if it would mean anything to them now,

if they knew?

If they got the message that their queen was proud

would it heal all the pain,

and take away all the remorse?

Well, it would be a start
