Life has changed me

I sometimes sit thinking
about how life
used to be,
when we're young
we don't have a care
in the world,
and we can't wait
to be older.
I remember days
waiting under the tree
for you to come and play,
days spent being with friends,
acting, singing.
I remember the last
three years,
so many happy memories.
But I wonder,
how life has changed me,
because there are days
when I seem a million miles
from the person I used to be,
now I just worry,
about money,
about whether I
seem too clingy,
worry that I'll
make too many mistakes,
or that I already have.
Life has changed me.
