I heard love was like a heart attack

I heard
love is like
a heart attack,
flashing lights
and sirens rung.
And I heard
love floods you
like a winter storm.
But the love I know
is calm and warm.
Some say
love cuts off
your air supply.
Overwhelms you,
bleeds you dry.
And some say
that love
obscures the truth.
Though I’m clearer now
because of you.
It’s thought
that love is pain,
that it’s tears
and drenched bodies
in the rain.
It’s thought
that it burns
and eats away at you.
But I know that
to be untrue.
Your love
is so goddamn
comfortable.
It’s a perfect fit,
the softest wool.
And it
fills me up,
it’s more than enough
it’s the original
good, good stuff.

I really liked this, and how
I really liked this, and how true "...love is like a heart attack.."
Young or old the effect is the same all over the world.

Yes, it's a comfy sweater
Yes, it's a comfy sweater that doesn't restrict you or dig in, or slouch too big across you. A very sweet piece and humbling, too.
