Shudder

Softly and gently, he took his time and made certain that he would
not continue until he was satisfied that everything was in place. It
was placed down upon a scarlet velvet pillow. He looked at it, at first
with a sigh and then a more bemused ape-like pondering, but suddenly
quaked from within by a pounding thud and violent shudder, it
reverberated through his bones which shook his paltry heart like marble
in a coconut.
