I wake up with you in the morning, not in the physical sense
You are inside, a feeling, a warmth, a quiet sense of love, belonging
You are with me as I go through my day, staying just out of sight
I take you shopping with me, wondering if you like my choices
I write little notes to you that will never be read, it makes you seem closer
At work I keep a picture of you tucked away but easily accessible
I have imaginary talks with you in the car, hoping to hear your voice

As evening approaches, I feel you with me during dinner, remembering
We had wonderful conversations over dinner, deep, thoughtful
You were always attentive to the little details, considerate, conscientious
The night is the hardest, missing your touch, your tender kiss goodnight
You are with me as I go to bed, hoping, dreaming, will it ever be again
I close my eyes and you are there, standing tall, beautiful, inviting
I often wonder if wishes do come true, I wish every night for you
