From a Leaf's Perspective

Sadly, there are those who constantly complain
about things of which they have given little thought
with complete absence of perspective, in ignorance of life
negatively altering the composition of perfectly good air
bleating until others change, or give way to enforced pettiness
How sad, that we are constantly asked to listen to, agree with
and to accept, people clearly more negative than ourselves!
How sad, that their attitudes do not allow them to raise their sights
or to think, or to see the immense beauty and natural wonders of nature
or beauty in other life existing; beyond the questionable reach of their noses
How hollow are their decisions made, to cut down deciduous trees
merely because such trees thoughtlessly, intentionally drop their leaves
scattered, intrusive leaves, born only to upset well practiced moaners
Those same empty minded, unimaginative, ignorant few who do
constantly complain, with no understanding of the trees they pursue
or God’s reasons for and all the obvious purposes of
Autumn leaves, just blowing through…
