Ah yes, a superb presentation and balance
tasted is the slightest hint of blackberry and star anise
there expertly hidden, within the glowing texture of the pear
subtly enhanced by an opposing tartness, within its glaze
Long and delicately lingering, as only sweet aniseed can
when plated with such passion on display
How could I not enjoy, such a labor of love so dear?
Oh my you excel in every respect, far beyond the rest
How could I not fall madly, hopelessly in love
when confronted by such a passionate entrée
of your lips and your exquisite, lingering taste
Now nothing in this world, could ever surpass this one, perfect kiss…
