Timeless Lament

It’s been so long since

I’ve felt such love in my life

seen its glow within my eyes

heard my heart skip that beat

felt that breathlessness of new anticipation

So long since, your presence was there in my world

and was truly my whole world - all the love I needed, to get by

I was just thinking of you again today

thinking about how much you changed my life

thinking how, I really do love you so…

thinking, how I wished that I had told you…

way back then, when you really needed, to know.
