Starstruck Lovers

The sun lay stranded in the multi colour sky,
knowing it would be a whole day,
until she could catch a glimpse of her lover in the midnight sky,
shrouded in a medley of stars.

Although deep down inside her,
locked away in a trinket of secrets,
she knew that time and space would work tirelessly,
to prevent such an intimate interaction.

Starstruck lover, she endeavoured to write a song,
to show her would be Romeo,
that nothing could extinguish her devotion to him,
her song would travel along the galaxies.

And fall softly into his lovestruck ears,
his heart would melt, and his toes would tingle and curl,
at the sound of her soft, seductive tones,
and he would float defiantly into her arms.
