Dream A Reality

I place myself in debt
In order to debit my financial strain
Nothing to gain as I dig deep in red

The crimson of which I’m bled purges deep
Parasitic beings latch onto my seams
Leech locked spineless invertebrates with a conscience clean
Draws and extracts our morality obscene

Perpetuate a dream of who and where I’ve been
Whilst I hand out donations a young child may scream
For I am to blame
As I cause the pain
I am the reason the rain washes the plain

Yet to bask in the virulent sun of a god formed of man
Is truly insane as the coin leaves my hand
As we strain and struggle claw and screech
Ponder our motives far way out of reach
A layered haze surreal shangri la
Yet a reality check moment may clear the mirage

Yet I cherish the thought I fight I exist
Woe betide for one moment it could be easier than this
To feel pain is to exist
I’m repeating myself
Treading the life of a hamsters wheel

Born to a world where my first words were screamed
For pain is my mantra
I dream to foresee a world filled with possibilities
Justice assurance creativity
Love and compassion through all living things
With one breath creates emotion and united were freed.
