Blood flows
from slithering blows,
chrome plated steel sliding.
Innocence lost,
terrible cost,
grass never grows any greener.
Foreign blades,
under deadly schemes,
just like the rape of Nan-king.
A meaningless purge,
and the deadly dirge,
ring, ring, ringing in my ears.
Red, the drops,
and hospital mops,
unable to keep the pace.
The terrible cost
the horrid loss
under bayonet mindsets.

Love the title. I had a bit
Love the title. I had a bit of trouble with the rhyme scheme, I kept expecting the last lines of each stanza to rhyme, but that's probably just me. You manage to evoke strong imagery and strong lines with very few words. Nice job.
