It has been said big folk are holding
onto something,
some kind of emotional beef,
stored spats, tiffs, wrangled bickerings
over money say... or sex,
backed up insipid lipids
that cannot be processed
by mortal livers and end
up on hips and thighs,
are taken to heart,
and so it goes,
if a bloke was to weigh
seventeen stone it would be
fair to say that at least two
of that was grudge.

Interesting. Not always true. I once had a boyfriend whose Mum was a good-natured friendly woman who enjoyed food, including sweet coffee and chocolate biscuits and she was a few stone heavier than her recommended Body Mass Index. She had a sitting down job where she worked from home (self-employed sewing machinist) and a steady flow of friendly neighbours dropping in for a chat and an offering from the biscuit barrel so her life led her too easily to her kitchen.        Elsie

Elsie, thanks for calling by. I hope I haven't offended! I just get these kooky ideas and they congeal when they hit fresh air. Sometimes they are a bit controversial? I just read somewhere that weight gain can be psychosematic (is that even spelt right?).

I have just been given the all clear to write again after a long battle with narcoepileprosy. I am best known for my tour de force, "Do the Russell-fad dances through the ages".
