Pink Them Up
Pink them up
the boys who can't sit still or bear unpleasure
range about in classrooms crashing desks
hold themselves together with muscle and speed
carapaced by bravado with bikes, guns, and knives
tight thin skin
grey as an old pub ashtray
eyes darting expecting threat
hyper reptile
they
swear at teachers ,shopkeepers, OAPs
giggle and mock
after all thats how people are isn't it?
how people speak
Mums and Dads and Grans
battle like the Soaps
self absorbed and loud
undo the warzone and the terror
they live in
pink them up
with gentle voices ,massage, pet rescue, green fields
take them out of Peckham's Ramallah
the Falls Roads in Liverpool and London
parents with minds like broken sieves
who let threat in and the kids fall out
into booze and drugs,
hoodies,homies, a hug of gangs
let them "play out" to break windows age 5
when he is "too young" for the law to care
put them in fluffy bathrobes and conversations
about meditation ,work, and pets
make
the only game biofeedback
no computers,TVs or phones
find their palate,talent,creative eye
train them juicy, funny, plumped and calm
